This is the Frame Only! It does not come with a futon mattress, however, we can recommend one that will work perfectly with this frame. Contact us if you have any questions or would like our help. This is probably one of the oldest and most versatile styles of futon frames around. It's known as a Lounger or 3 Way Futon Frame. It has 13 positions of recline, with or without your knee raised, and of course makes a sturdy bed position as well. The original 3 Way Frames were kind of crude, but this frame is made in America, of Unfinished Poplar Hardwood, which is a very clean and sustainable wood, with rounded corners and nicely sanded and ready to finish with a natural stain or water based finish of your choice. Poplar hardwood can have a slightly greenish tint to it, but after a few weeks, or an hour of sitting in the sun, that will turn into a nice light brown color. This frame does require a good amount of assembly, but the instructions are written in English, and are clear, and holes line up like they should. We do recommend having a small cordless screwdriver.
